13th Annual Carolina Inn Birdhouses on Parade Celebration (April 1-21)

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (March 2014) – The 2014 Birdhouses on Parade, The Carolina Inn’s 13th annual celebration of spring taking place from April 1-21, features one-of-a-kind birdhouses and feeders crafted by a dozen different North Carolina artists.

The Carolina Inn, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, opens this year’s birdhouse displays on Tuesday, April 1. Drop by anytime over the three weeks to enjoy artist creations from Bosetti Art Tile, Mark Burnham, Dwellings, Hebo’s Folkart Shop, Allen Hobbs, Wolfgang Langheinrich, Nest Dwellings, Old South BirdHouse Company, RSS Woodworks, Skidworks NC, Silver Palate Feeders and Wyldeheart Design. 

Indulge in a delicious Easter Buffet Brunch on Sunday, April 20 from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Carolina Crossroads Restaurant featuring both traditional brunch fare as well as carving stations, holiday entrées and more. Delight in this lavish holiday brunch prepared by Executive Chef James Clark and his extraordinary culinary team. Spring Afternoon Tea will be served in the Inn’s cozy hotel lobby Thursday through Sunday during the event starting at 2:30 p.m. and features The Carolina Inn’s popular floral teas such as Carolina Blueberry and Vanilla Apple Hibiscus. Accompaniments include a medley of savory tea sandwiches, assorted sweets and chocolates, followed by a grand finale of warm scones served with fresh lemon curd, English Devonshire cream and jam.
