The Carolina Inn Recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 Best Hotels Rankings

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (February 2013) – The Carolina Inn earned recognition as an exceptional property (No. 12 in North Carolina) in U.S. News & World Report’s list of the Best Hotels in the USA.

Nearly 2,000 luxury hotels and resorts across the United States and the Caribbean were analyzed as part of the selection process. In order to identify the best hotels, U.S. News & World Report used a methodology concentrated on three components including guest reviews, hotel class rating, and reputation among professional travel experts.

This is yet another accolade for the historic property. The Carolina Inn and its Carolina Crossroads Restaurant were recently awarded AAA’s prestigious 2013 Four Diamond ratings, marking the 16th consecutive hotel honor and 11th straight restaurant recognition. Plus, Carolina Crossroads Restaurant received Four-Stars for the 13th straight year from the Forbes Travel Guide (formerly Mobil Travel Guide), the most trusted source in travel ratings and expert reviews in the world since 1958.
