The Carolina Inn, A Destination Hotel, Introduces Jim Moss as Director of Sales and Marketing

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (September 2014) – The Carolina Inn, A Destination Hotel celebrating its 90th anniversary, announces the hiring of Jim Moss as Director of Sales and Marketing. 

Moss joins the The Carolina Inn, a historic North Carolina hotel, with an impressive resume of achievements at Four-Diamond and Four-Star properties throughout the United States. Most recently he served as Director of Sales at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys and Director of Sales and Marketing at The Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort, Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Fla.

Moss has nearly 20 years of hospitality experience in sales and marketing having held positions at some of the world’s most well-known hotel brands, including Hilton Worldwide, Global Hyatt Corporation and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. 

Prior to his tenure at Wyndham, Moss led sales and marketing teams as Director of Sales and Marketing at Conrad Miami in Miami, Fla.; Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Lost Pines, Texas; Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort in Bal Harbour, Fla.; and The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz., among others.  

A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s of science degree in hospitality and restaurant management, Moss is a member of several professional organizations. Moss is an avid boater and experienced angler along with a passion for horses.
