The Carolina Inn’s Carolina Crossroads Restaurant Celebrates North Carolina Beer Month with April 10 Dinner
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (March 2014) – In recognition of North Carolina’s 100 craft breweries and their positive impact on the state’s economy, Governor Pat McCrory has proclaimed April 2014 as “North Carolina Beer Month.”
N.C. Beer Month encourages residents and travelers alike to explore a wide range of special events, from beer festivals to creative brewery collaborations that showcase the industry’s top-notch products and hospitality.
The Carolina Inn, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, and its Carolina Crossroads Restaurant, are participating with a special dinner event on Thursday, April 10.
Executive Chef James Clark will prepare a delicious 3-course meal paired with local craft brews by Aviator Beer Company. Reception begins at 6:00 pm and Dinner at 7:00 pm.

The April 10 event commences with Passed Hors d’Oeuvres featuring Stout Beer Braised Short Rib/Pimento Cheese Biscuit, Country Ham and Pressed Melon/Blood Orange Vinaigrette, House Made Bread Cheese/Fig Gastrique, Lager Poached Scallop/Fingerling Potato/Black Garlic.
The First Course “Breakfast for Dinner” offers Seared Heritage Pork Belly & Crispy Poached Egg along with Cracked Black Peppe Waffle/Orange Infused Honey. The Second Course showcases N.C. Hydroponic Bib Lettuce accompanied by Smoked Almonds, Carrots, Pickled Cucumbers plus Golden Raisins, Sherry Herb Vinaigrette. The Third Course features Fire Roasted Painted Hills Teres Major and Warm Sweet Potato Salad, Pecan Gremolata. The two Dessert offerings are Salted Caramel & Smoked Chocolate Hazelnut Torte and Candied Hazelnuts.
