Schools out for summer, and this means it’s time to gear up for camp! The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill features a variety of academic and sports related camps open to children and teens. With a variety of week and summer-long camps, parents and kids can choose from activities like art, music, nature, computer and basketball.
Roy Williams Carolina Basketball Camp
Spend a week learning and developing your basketball skills at the Roy Williams Carolina Basketball Camp & Clinics. Roy Williams, head coach of the championship North Carolina Tar Heels leads this week-long camp, along with other UNC Basketball assistant coaches and trainers. The Roy Williams basketball camp in Chapel Hill is available to boys, ages 9-18 years.
Sylvia Hatchell’s Carolina Girls’ Basketball Camp
The coach of the winning Carolina Tar Heels’ women’s basketball team, Sylvia Hatchell, heads this camp dedicated to teaching girls the game of basketball. Held in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Hatchell’s camp is available for teams, individuals, specific positions and to improve shooting. The Sylvia Hatchell basketball camp is available to girls, ages 8-18 and 14-18.
