Annie Watts Hill Courtyard
The Inn's largest courtyard, tucked into the brick exterior of the Inn and a grand magnolia tree. This space is ideal for large wedding parties. It was inspired by beautiful English gardens and a almost always in bloom.
This charming, private space offers a brick terrace and direct access through the Sun Room. A large patio overlooks the quaint courtyard. With handmade wrought-iron gates, it's the perfect site for small to medium-size wedding parties and ceremonies.
John Sprunt Hill Ballroom
It's the largest ballroom at the Inn. Honoring hotel founder Hill, the 14-foot ceiling s and crystal chandeliers provide spacious elegance for the largest of events. This venue also offers a generous pre-event area for a reception or classic dessert displays.
This popular ballroom features 14-foot ceilings and is ideal for medium-sized wedding parties. It's close to lobby areas and adjacent a gracious black and white hallway, too.
Old Well Room & Parlors
Chapel Hill's first ballroom dates to 1924. Extensively remodeled, the black and white terrazzo floor was installed in the 1940s by world-famous designer Otto Zenke. The art deco-inspired décor has graced hundreds of weddings, and the striking, elegant space is often paired with surrounding parlors for a unique, multi-room event space perfect for mingling.
This intimate setting overlooks the Annie Watts Hill Courtyard and the western edge of the UNC campus. It's ideal for smaller events such as bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and farewell brunches.
A truly genteel space with striking features from the 1940s, this room offers views of the picturesque courtyard and close proximity to lobby areas and the Old Well Room, making this a Carolina Inn favorite.
North & South Parlors
Historic rooms located in the original section of the Inn built in 1924, these historic parlors offer beautiful views of the west side of campus. With crystal Carnegie Hall chandeliers and unique architectural accents, they are ideal for smaller events and gatherings.
