Carolina Crossroads at The Carolina Inn Earns 12th Straight Forbes Four-Star Dining Rating

“Very Close to Perfection” One of Only Three in the State

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (November 22, 2011)  – Carolina Crossroads at The Carolina Inn is one of only three restaurants in North Carolina to receive a Forbes Four-Star rating for 2012.

This is the 12th straight year that the Carolina Crossroads has been awarded four stars by the Forbes Travel Guide (formerly the Mobil Travel Guide), the most trusted source in travel ratings and expert reviews in the world since 1958.

Carolina Crossroads specializes in cuisine that Executive Chef Jimmy Reale describes as “Distinctly Southern with Mediterranean undertones.”

“Laced throughout the menu are traditional Southern items such as succotash, collard greens, country ham and shrimp and grits,” Reale said.  “We continue to create unique menu items using locally sourced ingredients to create interesting flavor combinations. The key to great service is meticulous attention to detail and striving to exceed each guest’s expectations.”

“The Carolina Inn has many long standing and wonderful traditions and we are proud that The Carolina Crossroads was bestowed this prestigious restaurant recognition for the 12th consecutive year,” said General Manager Shawn Gracey.  “Our team works extremely hard to earn and maintain the Four-Star level of quality. We try to make sure we keep Four-Stars by not simply meeting – but by exceeding each of the criteria for that high rating.”
