“Fridays on the Front Porch” Returns for 13th Season to The Carolina Inn on April 24

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (April 2015) – The Carolina Inn, A Destination Hotel that opened in 1924, begins the 13th season of its popular end-of-the-workweek celebration called “Fridays on the Front Porch” on Friday, April 24 from 5-8 p.m.

Live music creates the perfect atmosphere for kicking back, relaxing and getting a jump on the weekend. There is no cover charge or reservations for the event.

New this season are a variety of food trucks available to entertain palates with two different options each week. The 13 participants are AmigoSan, Baguettaboutit, Bam Pow Chow, Barone Meatballs, Chickenque, Chirba Chirba, D’Burritos, Halal Heaven, Porchetta, Salt Box, Soom Soom, Stoke and Stroke BBQ and Stuffit.

Fridays on the Front Porch features the music of some of North Carolina’s best bands for 27 consecutive Fridays through late October. One of the area’s most popular musical groups, Big Fat Gap, starts things off on Friday, April 24. The lineup for the rest of the series includes Acoustic Manner (with Hank), Mel Melton & The Wicked Mojo, Mick Mixon & The Franklin Street Band, The Gravy Boys, The Holland Brothers and The Morning After.
