Now in its twenty first year, The Carolina Inn will once again celebrate the Christmas season with enchanting decorations inspired by the traditional holiday song, The Twelve Days of Christmas. A vision of seasonal wonder will be displayed throughout the Inn including magnificently decorated trees, beautifully appointed holiday décor, shopping at the Holiday Market and events to
keep you and your little one’s entertained.
Come and enjoy the holiday season with us for three magical Sundays between December 2nd and December 16th. Don your Santa hat, bundle up your kids, and get into the festive spirit because it is going to snow every Sunday in December at The Carolina Inn. With vendors from all over the state, our market will be a wonderful place to shop for hand crafted yuletide gifts from chocolates, to jewelry, to garlands and ornaments.
If you get hungry there will be plenty of goodies to choose from. We have an outstanding lineup of local food trucks and exceptional offerings from our own culinary team. You’ll be able to feast on everything from soft pretzels to pulled pork. Your sweet tooth won’t be disappointed either. Dig into some fried dough, donuts, or caramel apples. Better yet, cuddle up to the fire and enjoy some s’mores.
Whether you want to relax with a hot chocolate or opt for something a little stronger like a mulled wine or a craft beer, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of the season.
Holiday Afternoon Tea
It is said that Anna Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford, invented Afternoon Tea in 1840. This was to satisfy her peckishness during the long wait between lunch and dinner. We are proud to continue this custom.
Prepared and served fresh each day, our menu faithfully follows the traditional combination of sweet and savory treats and homemade scones with clotted cream and jam. The ingredients include specialties from our pastry team that reflect our southern roots as well as time-honored British influence. At the heart of the experience is the drink itself. Choose from a variety of loose leaf teas including English blends and herbal infusions that will complement your food perfectly. Enjoy the company of family and friends and delight in the wonder of the holiday season.
